They say every film student wants to make a zombie movie after they graduate. Okay, I'm probably guilty of this too. I graduate from U. of Toledo in May and practically everybody in film classes I have taken has wanted to make either a vampire, zombie, pirate, or ninja movie. I'm thinking why not combine all of those and see who wins? So I'll start making the thing in June or so, probably on weekends because I will go back to working full time again almost immediately after I graduate. No more of these breezy 20-hour workweeks...
Besides, if I get it out of my system early, and maybe have it make a few bucks or even gain cult following, why not? Just as long as people don't expect me to make a career out of it like Romero did...not that his films were bad...though I have to say I didn't care for the remake of Dawn of the Dead, even if it did have a great cast.
